GeoPave (marketed as GeoPaveX in some countries) is the binder used in a range of resin bound paving systems which can be used for external surfacing, internal flooring and for low maintenance tree pit surfacing. GeoPave resin bound surfacing systems provide novel and attractive creative options for paving driveways, paths, public spaces, tree pits and internal floors. A GeoPave resin bound surfacing system is a brighter, modern alternative to established concrete, block paving, pattern imprinted concrete or asphalt.
The properties of a resin bound surfacing system incorporating GeoPave resin binder can be tailored to meet individual client requirements. There is a wide range of suitable aggregates in different colours and textures. This allows a high degree of freedom for the architect or landscape designer to use these characteristics to compliment or contrast with other elements of the project. Natural gravels in light buff to darker brown shades are the most popular but crushed rock derived aggregates such as granite, basalt offer alternative looks.
GeoPave resins are available in two basic grades – Standard and UVR (Ultra Violet Resistant). GeoPave Standard is a high-strength resin system, most suitable for buff to brown coloured aggregates. GeoPave UVR is highly resistant to UV light and is the resin system of choice for light coloured aggregates where any weathering of the resin binder may be noticed.
Smaller packs are available specifically for tree pits with a typical size of 1 m x 1 m x 50 mm and using larger sized aggregate. Adbruf’s GeoPave Tree Pit packs, available in both Standard and UVR grades, provide the solution to problems such as litter, dog waste, trip hazards and weeds associated with open tree pits and metal tree grilles . Adbruf’s GeoPave Tree Pit Pack is a fully porous product which allows water to pass through the surface to feed the roots of the tree without the need for watering tubes.
A GeoPave based resin bound surfacing system is typically pervious meaning that water can freely drain through it. This means that GeoPave resin bound surfacing systems qualify as being compliant with SuDS – Sustainable Drainage Systems, a recent UK requirement for urban surfacing installations in order to mitigate the flash flooding which often now follows heavy rainfall.
GeoPave resins have been formulated specifically for use as a resin bound surfacing binder and are manufactured under a BSI audited ISO 9001:2008 quality management system at the Adbruf factory in the county of Dorset, UK.

Some aggregates have a greater resistance to heavier vehicles, the repeated turning action of vehicles and tyre marking. In the case of power steered vehicles, it is not advisable to turn the steering unless the vehicle is in motion. If you are unsure about the suitability of a given aggregate under these conditions, it is recommended that Adbruf Technical Dept be contacted for advice.
Adbruf has taken every care to provide an accurate representation of the colour of our products. Aggregates are natural materials which are subject to changes in appearance and colour. Some of the aggregates supplied may occassionally contain minor concentrations of iron minerals which upon weathering may result in areas of rust spot staining. These iron minerals occur naturally within the aggregate deposits and Adbruf cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered as a result of such staining. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.

What is SuDS?
Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) is the name given to the UK government legislation that came into effect in October 2008.
SuDS are surface water and drainage management methods and actual devices, designed to tackle excess water in a sustainable and economical way compared with current conventional systems.
Surface water needs to be removed, particularly in built-up areas, in order to prevent flash flooding. GeoPave resin systems for resin bound paving have been developed to be SuDS compliant. GeoPave allows water to freely drain through the surface, helping prevent the rapid surface water runoff that causes flooding.
